      <video:title>Midweek Minute</video:title>
<video:description>God has many names. One of them, from Exodus 15, is Jehovah-Rapha, the LORD who heals. Additionally, we see Jesus heal a variety of people in a variety of ways throughout his time on earth. We even see the Apostles perform healing miracles. The first one that comes to mind for me is in Acts 3 when Peter, empowered by Holy Spirit, is able to heal the man who was’t able to walk. With God being the same now as he was in the beginning of time as we know it, he is still in the business of miraculous healing. I know it and have seen it. We can and should believe God to do the miraculous. Sometimes he does it in unexplainable ways. Recently I was talking with an individual who had some extreme health issues. They had all the scans and tests confirming it. Then, when they were getting ready for surgery a test was done, I believe to see how it had progressed since previous tests. When that last test was done, everything was as it should be, People had been praying and they were miraculously and unexplainably healed. Other times, God works through doctors and modern medicine to bring healing. We’ve even seen this with people who are part of The Rescue Church. We know God is Jehovah-Rapha related to physical illness. He’s also Jehovah-Rapha with emotional and mental illness as well. But, as people we sometimes approach those differently than physical ailments. We see people dealing with anxiety or depression and start throwing verses at them about not being anxious or depressed. In some cases, a person may simply need some people to challenge them to adjust their focus. In other cases, a person needs healing similar to the person with a physical illness or injury. They need Jehovah-Rapha. For those in the US, May is Mental Health Awareness Month. If you are struggling mentally or emotionally, you can admit it. Asking people around you to pray for the miraculous healing Jehovah-Rapha provides is a great idea. He is still in the business of healing. …and at the same time, please remember that sometimes he uses doctors and professionals to perform the miraculous healing. Please ask for help. If you are in the Sioux Falls or Flandreau areas there is New Haven Ministries. They operate on suggested donation amounts. If you can’t afford care, they don’t turn you away. Moody County also has 211. You can dial 211 and they can put you in touch with different resources. In the US, if you are really struggling and don’t know if you can keep going, there is 988. You can call or text 988 and speak to someone. As a church, we certainly care about your spiritual health. We also care about your emotional and mental well-being. If you need or want someone to be there with you as you face emotional or mental illnesses, please ask. Reach out to someone in your Campus, your Campus Pastor or the church office. We try to see those needs, but unfortunately we don’t always know. And we don’t want you to go forward alone.</video:description>
