About Us

At The Rescue Church, everything we do is centered on the Gospel - the good news of Jesus Christ. Bringing people into a relationship with Jesus Christ is what we're all about.

What is the Gospel? We're glad you asked.

No one is perfect. Not me, not you, not anyone. It even says in the Bible that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  (Romans 3:23) Because of this sin, we are separated from God and deserve death. We deserve to spend eternity in Hell away from God (yikes!). But wait! Don't stop reading, we're just getting to the good part.  Even though we deserve death, God loved us SO much that he sent Jesus to the earth to pay our punishment for us!  Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". Despite our sin, God loved us way too much for us to stay separated from him. He made a way for us to know him and to be saved from this separation. He sent his one and only Son to pay the price- Jesus.  By dying on the cross, Jesus took away our punishment and allowed us to be able to restore our relationship with God.

The only thing we have to do is accept this amazing gift of salvation.  Romans 10:9 says that "if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." You can be forgiven for all of your sins by simply asking and believing in Jesus Christ.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your Savior right now and begin a relationship with him, simply pray from your heart in your own honest words something like this:  "Dear Jesus, I know that I have done wrong things in my life that you call sin. I know that even though I deserve punishment, you paid it for me when you died on the cross. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and that you conquered death by rising again three days later. I invite you into my life as my Lord and my Savior. Help me to live my life surrendered to you. Thank you for loving me. Amen."

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
